2 days ago, went swimmin with mr lai sen hui.
haha. its really been awhile i saw him. haha.
my long-lost brother, sharin same surname. tsk.
but yeah, it was fun. great guy.
i figured out that practically every1 i know is a great person. haha.
guess u just have to see the good in them and accept their flaws.
that makes everyone and everything look more positive and stuff.

back to swimming topic.
i got burnt after that.
kukubird, everytime i swim i'd definitely get surnt somehow.
and its always my shoulders.
i read somewhere b4 that sunburns increase the risk of gettin skin cancer.
looks like im well on my way there if i keep on swimming. tsk.
shoulder cancer. that sounds dumb. hah.
but the burns make my shoulder itchy. weird.

so i rested the rest of the day..
and played soccer the next day.
at sin ming, under the bright hot sun, for 5 nice hours.
sweet. now i got burns on the face too. damn.
feels funny now. like its all dry and stuff.
makes me wna do this funny face which no1 notices. hah!

well shoulders feel better now.
at least sleeping's more or less still comfortable.
looking forward to more sports. haha.
im always lazy to go.
but when it all ends, i enjoy and look forward to going again. the irony.

im always lazy (as usual) to plug in to my elec.
like, i have to take my amp outta the box, remove the foams,
wires here and there. yeah u get it. its no good gettin whiney.
as a result, i play my dear ibanez 95% of the time.
i mean, the blue-sy feels are better on an elec..
but once again laziness got the better of me.
it feels like my les paul's kinda deprived. haha.

but i still love acoustics.
how a bare set of wood and strings can make such beautiful sounds.
haha. love it.
a lil lost of what next to move on to in learning.
been tryin to get the technique for heart of life down.
its really not easy. and frustrating most of the time.
but im still working on it! almost there. haha.

i feel like rockin man.
but i cant really do so, since i've no distortion or whatsoever.
so all i can play is clean.
thus, many rock songs cant be jammed.
unless i play an acous vers of it. hah.
sometimes it looks that oomph from distortions and stuff.
relating to that, im looking and considering the Boss BD-2 Blues-Driver pedal.
great sound man. not too heavy,
yet it gives the overdrive and light distortion, perfect for blues. woot.
but its a hundred-odd at swee lee.
lets see if i can get a better deal somewhere else.
hopefully i might be able to get it for my bday.
own money + parents present money= a new toy for my guit.

yeah. my bday's still 4-5 months away.
this gives me more time to buck up on playing
so i might at least be worthy of having a pedal to utilise.
and hopefully, spur me on to greater levels of playing,
eg blues and rock. and a fusion of these 2- blues rock.
yeah. great stuff.
long term goal, something like being able to improv a solo in any song, yet sounding sweet.
with blues, it just gives that much more edge.
the feel and techniques in blues..its just sweet man.
thats why its not easy to play.
the feel needs to be there.
im still tryin to work on my feel for blues.
slow but steady man.
thats why its long-term stuff. heh.
