in the midst of a 2 week break from sch.
first week was pretty busy, with proj meetings and church stuff.
had a real nice weekend with family and churchmates.
its been a great time. haha.
finally got to finish the crossroads guitar festival dvd.
seriously awesome shit.
the atmosphere there, and the whole experience.
woah must have been an unforgettable night.
2nd disc was better i feel,
with the more notable musicians.
mayer, jeff beck, clapton, buddy guy, steve winwood, etc.
damn. sweet stuff to the ears.
its really an inspiration seeing these guys play.
how the emotions sound through a six-string.
even more so an inspiration for someone who cant sing. hahaha.
now to just wait for the city music sale.
some GAS waiting to be relieved. hahaha.
been checking out Tal Wilkenfeld.
freaking awesome bassist.
24 this year, and she's played with ppl like jeff beck and chick corea.
seriously, a born genius.
quite a stunner too.
more musical legends should come down.
well at least for now there's slash who's coming soon.
98 bucks, ouch.
havent been progressing much on the guit.
feel that im lackin more on my right hand than the left.
the muting and string accuracy really can be better.
its hard to progress now.
tryin to get more feelings to sound through with the little notes that i know.
its not what, how much or how fast you play,
but rather how you play those notes.
what i meant is the phrasing.
how you phrase ur notes in your own playing.
how you make ur emotions felt in your playing.
now thats the challenge.
thats the ultimate stage i feel,
letting your fingers do the talking,
and letting the guitar sing for you.
lookin to get into music theory,
wna learn more.
argh, quite an insatiable hunger. haha.
music is such a beauty that cant be put into words.
i really cant finish experiencing such a beauty.
its something that still holds and stays true all these years
while the world around it screws itself up.
its really a salvation and a saving grace for all the shit that happens in the world.
One of the best gifts of love by Him.
really a love that can never be destroyed.
this phrase i found on the net sometime back still sums everything up:
Music is what emotions sound like.
Goodnite all.
Cheers.
